Think about for a second why no single teacher / teaching / lineage knows everything.
Why we have so many teachings that differ in methods, transmissions and so on.
The knowledge that is to know is endless. There is no end to what we can do, achieve and no fixed destination to arrive at.
Enlightenment - being pure awareness and knowing it fully - is more or less the same in all traditions.
Enlightenment is just the start there is more, fully opening up to uncondtional love, ESP powers, working on collective consciousness to make humanity move forward and not backward like the status quo and malign powers that exist both in humanity and in other realms wish.
Lineage is basically a container of knowledge. Like a book or hard drive. You can start your own lineage by stating your intention to create a field of knowledge, say a knowledge to open up unconditional love.
This field can them empower inviduals when you state your intention that this field empower those specific invididuals.
The field can then be expanded with your knowledge. The knowledge can also be medical, say curing of cancer and other illnesses.
This is how a lineage can become very powerful.
